BCL is dedicated to patient care through stringent quality control of all assays performed in our
laboratory. It is the pursuit of this goal that our quality control and quality assurance program exceeds
Federal and State agency requirements. Since our inauguration, BCL has a clinical laboratory license
from the state of Massachusetts based on results of on-site inspections. BCL also has a certificate of
accreditation from Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services Clinical Laboratory Improvement
Amendment (CLIA) for endocrinology, clinical chemistry, urinalysis, toxicology, hematology, general
immunology, serology, syphilis serology, bacteriology, parasitology, virology, molecular diagnostics,
histopathology, and cytology. Furthermore, BCL has been awarded accreditation by the Commission of
Laboratory Accreditation of the College of American Pathologists (CAP) and is a certified member of
Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association. Additionally BCL has certificates of participation for
survey and anatomical pathology education programs conducted by CAP and CMS.
